This is probably one of my favorite Military Performances with the Army Band. Performing "Down Under" and meeting so many new people is the essence of having music as part of my life!

I Love my Military Band Family!!!

PATRIOT JAZZ
Wisconsin National Guard Band

132nd ARMY BAND

WISCONSIN NATIONAL GUARD

Director of the Patriot Jazz: Staff Sergeant Jack Schulze

This performance of the Patriot Jazz Ensemble was taped at Franklin High School's first Jazz Cabaret in 2003! It was fantastic and a honor that the Band I used to belong to took the time to come and support our students! I (Ron Booth) got a chance to sit in with the band on Bass Guitar at the 31:50 time mark on the Video.

I believe no one from the Army Band have seen this video! The students and parents had a wonderful time listening to great musicians!

THE MARAUDERS

Wisconsin National Guard Band

132nd ARMY BAND

WISCONSIN NATIONAL GUARD

Director of The Marauders: Staff Sergeant Johnny Meyer

This performance of The Marauders Jazz Ensemble was taped at Franklin High School's first Jazz Cabaret in 2003! It was fantastic and a honor that the Band I used to belong to took the time to come and support our students! I (Ron Booth) got a chance to sit in with the band on Bass Guitar at the 28:20 and 54:40 time marks on the Video. During my service with the 132nd Army Band, I was the Bassist for The Marauders! I had so much enjoyment performing with this group. Also there are a couple of Ron Booth's arrangements!

I believe no one from the Army Band have seen this video! The students and parents had a wonderful time listening to great musicians!

During my time as the Band Director for Franklin High School, I arranged many songs for our Marching Band. After Marching Band Season, the students would get excited about Marching in the Milwaukee Christmas Parade in late November. From 1999 to 2006,

the Franklin High School Marching Band entertained the citizens of Wisconsin through the streets of downtown Milwaukee.

This song was Published on April 22, 2023 thru ArrangedMe/Hal Leonard Company. You can also hear this arrangement in the Marching Band Section of this website.

Composing & Arranging music is one of my favorite passions. Franklin Saber Band Alumni, I went back when the Sixth Grade moved to Forest Park Middle School. This Clip is from the 6th Grade Spring Band Concert in 1993. The Booth Arrangements for our Jam Section at the end of the concert is: Locomotion, In the still of the night, La Bamba, and the "FAMOUS RUMP SHAKER"! Even back then, I was a smoke machine maniac!!! 😆😆😆 Enjoy!😊😊😊💖

FESTIVE OVERTURE VIDEO

Ron Booth

Band Director

While serving seven years (1999 to 2006) at Franklin High School; the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Wind Ensemble performed some wonderful compositions. Awesome Concert Band music, Jazz Music, Marches, and Orchestral Transcriptions for Band. Sometimes, I wondered if I pushed the bands to the edge (maybe the music was too hard for them at times) back then with some of the Concert & Jazz music, but they always surprised me on their performance during the Spring Concert, WSMA Large Group, or on a Music Trip. I will try and share some clips of these performances. This Clip is the Wind Ensemble Spring Concert 2005 [2004-2005 School year]. This is an Orchestral Transcription for Band called: FESTIVE OVERTURE Op. 96 By: Dmitri Shostakovich

FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL RAP SHOW #5

CRAZY IN LOVE SHOW

2004 (Wisconsin)

Ron Booth

Band Director

Franklin High School Saber Band Alumni! This next video takes you back on memory lane to Homecoming Rap Show #5. A great memory about this show is that each time the band rehearsed "One In A Million", I would tell them that my friend "JP" would be at the rehearsal to sing the song. I would end up trying to sing it so the band would get the feel with vocals. I did apologize for torturing them, but they fell into my trap! The band figured that there was no best friend "JP" since he didn't show up for any of the rehearsals, and Mr. Booth is going to sing the song. Well, it turns out that my friend "JP" was real because he showed up for Homecoming! It was a great lesson for the band to perform with a vocalist for the first time in an actual performance and it was a great show!!!

Band Director

On memory lane with the Franklin High School Band Alumni. The "Pep Band" was another fun group within the High School Band program. Our music Flippie had so many wonderful songs that the students enjoyed performing at Football & Basketball games. Songs like:

Build Me Up Buttercup

Rollercoaster

Eye of the Tiger

Soul Man

Land of a Thousand Dances

The list of songs in the FHS Flippie was humongous. The students knew that some of my favorite musical groups were Earth, Wind, & Fire; Stevie Wonder; Tower of Power, and Parliament Funkadelics. Since there are no video of the Pep Band, This performance of Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke" during the 2002-2003 Combined Band setting brought back an awesome memory my friends.

Well Franklin High School Saber Band Alumni! This video takes us to the Last Homecoming Rap Show, and my last year at the Big House (FHS) as your Band Director. I think that I reached one of my major goals during the seven years as your director: "To show you that Marching Band can be so much fun!" For me my friends, remembering all the music that I arranged for you all was awesome! We started in 1999 with Pagliacci, and we will end in 2005-2006 with Pagliacci.
